TIACA Membership and Revenues on the Up In 2024
Air cargo association TIACA saw both its membership numbers and revenues rise last year. During a webinar to update on the latest developments at the association, director general Glyn Hughes said TIACA had welcomed a total of 33 new members in 2024, bringing its total membership numbers to 480 companies and organizations.

Trade Associations Urge 'Uncontactable' IATA to Play Fair Over CASS
FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations and The International Air Cargo Association TIACA have both urged International Air Transport Association (IATA) to review its financial security arrangements for CASS associates. Meanwhile, poor forwarders affected are struggling to get hold of the association – despite its pledges to “respond within eight hours”. (If only that was true of its media team too…)

“Some of the key initiatives for achieving industry’s sustainability goals include fleet renewals, electrification of ground-based airport GSE, using green hydrogen, electrification of delivery and RFS vehicles, investments in UAS/ RPAS for middle and final/first mile transport, smart facilities and buildings, use of renewable energy sources, and increased use of technology.”
